Pokemon Emerald Imperium Full Walkthrough in Detail

Start the game by setting the clock. Then, head over to your rival’s house and talk to them. Next, go to Birch’s Lab and choose your starter Pokemon. After that, make your way to Route 103 and battle your rival. Once you’ve won, return to Birch’s Lab to receive your Pokedex. From there, head to Petalburg City Gym to watch Wally’s tutorial on catching Pokemon.

In Petalburg Woods, defeat a Team Aqua Grunt, then exit north to Route 104, where you’ll face off against Dawn. Continue through Rustboro City to Route 116, where you’ll battle Roak. Afterward, challenge and defeat Leader Roxanne in Rustboro Gym. Don’t forget to stop by a man in Rustboro City to get HM01 Cut. From there, head to Rusturf Tunnel to defeat another Team Aqua Grunt and then face your rival in Rustboro City.

Return south through Petalburg Woods, then sail with Mr. Briney to Dewford Town. Once there, go to Granite Cave to get HM05 Flash from a hiker and deliver the Letter to Steven. Afterward, challenge and defeat Leader Brawly in Dewford Gym. Sail back with Mr. Briney to Slateport City. At the city, talk to Dock in the building south of the museum, then enter the museum and go upstairs to speak with Captain Stern to begin the Team Aqua event. Defeat the Team Aqua Grunts inside.

Next, head north to Route 110 and defeat your rival. Go to Mauville City and talk to the Rock Smash Dude to get HM06 Rock Smash. Defeat Wally in front of Mauville Gym, then challenge and beat Leader Wattson in Mauville Gym. Continue west to Route 117 and reach Verdanturf Town. From there, enter Rusturf Tunnel, smash a rock to find HM04 Strength, then return to Mauville City and head north to the next part of your journey.

On Route 111, you’ll face off against Dawn. Continue traveling through Route 111, through Fiery Path, and Route 113 to reach Fallarbor Town. From Fallarbor Town, head west to Route 114 and reach Meteor Falls. Watch a cutscene with Team Magma before returning to Fiery Path’s southern entrance on Route 111. Go up the Ski Lift to reach Mt. Chimney, where you’ll defeat Team Magma.

Next, head to Lavaridge Town and challenge Leader Flannery in the gym. Afterward, go to the desert area on Route 111 to find HM03 Surf, which is located past some mini-boss trainers. You can get this at any point, even before or after defeating Norman. In Route 110, just north of Slateport City, you’ll defeat Wally again in front of the Trick House. Complete all three floors of the Trick House, then head to Petalburg City to challenge Leader Norman in the gym.

Travel to Mauville City and go east to Route 118, continuing north to Route 119. Enter the Weather Institute on Route 119 and defeat Team Aqua. Afterward, go back outside to Route 119 to battle your rival. Continue to Fortree City, then travel east to Route 120. Cross the wooden bridge and get the Devon Scope from Steven. Head back to Fortree City and challenge Leader Winona in the gym.

Continue east from Fortree City through Route 120 into Route 121. Watch a cutscene with Team Aqua on Route 121. Proceed to Lilycove City, which is close and can be accessed easily. You’ll be able to fly back to it later. Head south from Route 121 to Route 122 and enter Mt. Pyre. Go to the top of Mt. Pyre and watch a cutscene with Maxie. Afterward, go to Slateport City and north to the Harbor, where you’ll watch another cutscene with Team Aqua near the harbor. Be sure to go inside the building to see them escape.

Return to Lilycove City and defeat Dawn in a battle. Head northeast in the city until you find Team Aqua’s Hideout near the northern beach. Defeat Team Aqua in their hideout, then head east through Route 124 until you reach Mossdeep City. Challenge and defeat Leaders Tate and Liza in Mossdeep Gym. Go east in Mossdeep City to find the Space Center, where you’ll see a cutscene with Steven and Drake. Next, visit Steven’s house to receive HM08 Dive.

Go to Lavaridge Town and enter Jagged Pass to discover Team Magma’s Hideout. After defeating them there, head south from Mossdeep City, and use Dive to explore Seafloor Cavern, located underwater on Route 128. Defeat Team Aqua inside Seafloor Cavern, then go to Sootopolis City to trigger a cutscene. Speak with Steven to enter the Cave of Origin, then talk to Wallace in the Cave of Origin.

Next, travel to Sky Pillar, which is north of Route 131. Reach the top of Sky Pillar, defeat Drake, and free Rayquaza. Return to Sootopolis City for another cutscene, then speak with Archie and Maxie to make them leave. Talk to Wallace in front of the gym to get HM07 Dive, then challenge and defeat Leader Juan in Sootopolis Gym.

Finally, head to Route 128 and continue east to Evergrande City. There, defeat your rival and Dawn. Enter Victory Road, where you’ll face Wally once again. Proceed through Victory Road and reach Evergrande City’s northern entrance. Now, it’s time to challenge the Elite 4 and the Champion to become the Pokemon Champion!
